oh what a world

Dude. Seriously.

Our Weekend

I heard about an earthquake relief donations packing operation that was happening on Saturday and decided we should go. As it happens, we didn’t sleep at all on Friday night. Instead, both hubby and I worked on websites and studied. Saturday morning comes and we still haven’t slept, but I want to go help with the donations packing — so we go!

The location was at the Foundation for Islamic Education in Villanova, PA. We have only been once before, but it’s a great place.

We hadn’t planned on staying long, but I guess we got into the spirit and we ended up staying and working hard until around 1:00! We prayed there at the foundation, then left for home.

Later that night, we went out and bought some things for our project [see below] and a catnip toy for Naji. I don’t think he’s ever had it; he went absolutely wild after his first sniff of the toy.

As of this afternoon, the appearance of the toy:

Poor mouse...

And our project - painting my vanity desk. I wish I had taken a “before” shot, but I do have a corner of it from another picture:

And the final result:

Semi-flat black and silver vanity!!

It’s good of you to do work, but I wouldn’t trust anything dealing with Mustafa Ahmed, he’s a horrible man. I don’t trust him or his foundation. Rather donate to proper charities.
